GROUNDWORK

GROUNDWORK was a multidisciplinary solo show in the Rosefsky Gallery at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 2018. Incorporating an installation of black painted flags, a series of drawings, sculpture and video, the exhibition aimed at reflecting the community of students, staff and faculty at SUNY Binghamton as well as specific current events occurring during the scope of the works’ creation. A stack of concrete slabs form a tower and are available for the viewer to take away, a series of drawn portraits celebrates the identities of people committed to social justice, an accumulation of posters that gallery visitors contribute to collect on the wall...
